Derek Ralston is the author of Evolve Your Life: Mini-Books For Finding Happiness and The Two Week Lucid Dreamer (#1 eBook for "lucid dreaming" on Amazon.Com search results). He is a personal development blogger at LifeEvolver.Com, which he has maintained since 2008. Several of Derek's blog posts have gone viral through social media, receiving more than 16,000 unique visitors in a single day. Derek has amassed a number of unique experiences:
- University of Kansas guest lecturer in Information Systems
- Developed the first videogame cheats search engine
- Created and maintained popular online videogame magazine at the age of 13
- Fit everything he owned into a carry-on bag for a seven month trip to South America
- Finished the New York City Marathon in 2010
- Chased after a man that stole his debit card in Arequipa, Peru (and managed to get it back)
Derek received his BS from the University of Kansas in 2006, where he studied Information Systems and Business Administration. He went on to work in technology consulting for four years, where he advised C-level executives, managed multimillion dollar technology projects and traveled every week like the main character of Up in The Air (2009). After this, Derek wrote his first book The Two Week Lucid Dreamer at the age of 27.

Derek is a strong enthusiast of travel and living abroad. He recently returned from a seven month trip in South America. There, he studied Spanish, made new friends, and trekked mountains.
